A Scrumptious book to teach kids about how to be good and polite. My kids are not rude though sometimes they forget their manners. Rude or not this is such a delightful book to be read, and along the way the rude ones will be helplessly guilty while the others will remember never to be or never to forget their manners.
It`s about a rude little dainty cake who doesn't seem to be doing anything right, :as she doesn't share anything nor does she have the patience to be in the line, she never says please or thank you, sometimes even take things that doesn't belong to her and she never listens to her parents (especially when they sound so boring) But the culmination marks the meeting of very polite Giant Cyclopses, who always remember to say thank you and please, and finally seems to enlighten the rude little two-tier. A humorous yet a very useful picture book.
The illustrations supported by speech bubbles, which also tell the story along with it`s text are an absolute feast of dainty spreads full of delicious looking cake characters. The touch of humor in his strokes and the influence of speech bubbles (such as; ``you clumsy crumble``, ``Is there a reason why she can`t hold any of the balloons``) adds-up to the compelling outcome of the story. And there`s always only one or two lines of text per page.
It`s a very direct and a fast paced book discussing all about being thoughtful and polite but the images will surely keep them entertained.
