By : Anne Villeneuve
Publisher : Kids Can Press( Sept., 2015)
As Loula overhears her mother`s screaming ``I can't live with that monster any more`` she assumes that her mother is referring to her messy rampant ``Mister`` And worried that they might loose each other because of Mister`s unruly behavior, Loula decides to reform Mister and turn him into a well mannered dog.
Disasters begin! Chaos happens! And Mister creates more havoc than ever as Loula, together with her friend chauffeur Gilbert, tries to continue their training lessons; Mister jumps into the fountain in the park, chases after a squirrel and runs straight into the city museum.....
This is a charming and a hilarious tale about a touching friendship between a little girl and her dog; in her fear of losing her beloved friend, her hilarious struggle to discipline him.The story is very much similar to a comic and delivers a minor message about not jumping into conclusions. But most importantly, this fast paced, action packed story with a compelling theme is an ideal reading material for the reluctant early reader(with guidance). Although the book is the third in it`s series it stands alone.
The vivacious images done in watercolours are capable of drawing a smile on any child`s face and the drooling big dog with his tiny cute missy, as they snuggle together and fall asleep, will capture readers hearts.
Any child who loves dogs will surely enjoy this story. This is a book that would help keep children attracted to reading!
